Summary

Time flies like an arrow. I still remember the first time I wrote the blog is about the restaurant in the Student Active Center. It’s absolutely a trial not only for my writing skills but also for my ability to find fairly-charged and delicious restaurant for you guys. Actually I don’t expect you to eat in the vegetarian restaurant for every meal, but I think eating vegetables are beneficial for you and for our earth. Maybe you’ve heard that the water needed for producing a kilogram of beef is fifty times as much as that of producing one kilogram of vegetable(or rice), so trust me: substitute vegetable for meat can more or less help our earth. Also, you will definitely feel uncomfortable when you eat so much cholesterol and grease, having some plates of vegetables will improve your living quality, seriously! So just follow my blog and find out those delicacies.
    In these weeks I have posted buffets, cafeteria, and trust me every restaurants have its special dishes and atmosphere, the distinctive flavor is always the reason that make me go there for the second time, third time. As a consumer, I will tell you that the vegetables are often cooked much better in vegetarian restaurants. They know how to bring out the original flavor of ingredients, and maybe that’s why you seldom pick up vegetables in your lunch box(because some cooks are only good at dealing with meat). And as a vegetarian, I know it can be a little hard for you to eat a whole meal without a piece of meat. But you’ll get used to it and you will figure out that it is actually delicious as the different cooking style are used. Don’t be afraid of trying!
    Honestly, I’m glad to be a pioneer looking for secret restaurants and there are always amazing dishes waiting for me. Hope you’ll enjoy my posts!

Week9 O'life beverage

Hey guys, this week I decided not to introduce restaurants any more, I want to share you a special beverage, featuring organic ingredients for each cup of tea. In Taiwan, you can easily figure out many beverages located around us, but don’t you feel a little scared after so many food scandals? Can you promise that the dishonest vendor will never sell the tainted tea leaves? If you just want to grab a cup of iced tea in a hot summer day or a cup of hot ginger milk tea in a cold weather, O’life is definitely a good place to go. It not only provides leaves without pesticide residue but also additive-free ingredients. You can never find another beverage that selects their produce and tea leaves so hard. The only shortcoming is that it’s at 台北市大安區師大路68巷12號(仁愛眼鏡店對面巷底)which is a little far from NTU(QQ). So let's cut to the chase and see what I ordered.
pearl milk tea with coconut jelly:
the pure milk coming from 主恩farm where cows eat fresh pesticide-free grass  mixes perfectly with the sweet honey. The refreshing drink is worth recommended for you who like milk tea!


Osmanthus honey:
if you are absent-minded all day, try a cup of this, it will help you concentrate on things easier .By the way, don't add coconut jelly(warning), and it'll be great.

Week 8 大家 vegetarian restaurant

Hey guys , how’s everything going ? After your midterm, you must want to eat some delicacy to reward yourself. Maybe you will hang out with your friends and go to 公館night market. If you will eat there, try to find a restaurant called “大家素食” , there are many items for you to choose. Dining with friends, you can share the appetizers which are special and well-cooked and cost little money. By the way, you can also choose small portion and pick two kinds (rice or noodles). Just remember to come earlier or the dishes may soon be sold out in a rush. So let’s take a look at what I ordered.

Pumpkin noodles :  the aroma of the pumpkin and the chewy noodles will let you eat up at once(big portion makes me full) . 
Appetizers: You should try some because they are all impressive and make you eat more XD.

Last but not the least, I want to say that this restaurant's noodles and braised dishes are excellent. Although their recipes aren't that intricate, but they can bring out the original of every ingredients. So, why not stop for a soothing meal?

Week7 綠蔬

Hey guys! I find it very interesting that vegetarian restaurants are always situated neighboring. This week, I found another vegetarian restaurant 綠蔬next to溫州公園. This restaurant has lots of dishes for you to choose from. The price depends on the weight you pick. And there are some concepts they persist in: healthy food, participation of social issues, helping the underprivileged minority… You can see their love and passion at every part of the restaurant. So, let’s take a look at their menu and dishes.

The ingredients are all seasonal, and the dish they cooked are high-level, you can’t stop after tasting it. What’s more, if you go there on the weekends, you can order their special meal (only served on the weekends)! 
 The grilled cheese shell noodles is one of the special meals. It tastes as it looks, that is: fantastic, the aroma of the cream with cheese combining with the tenderly chewy noodles is definitely a "special meal" for everyone.

Week6 卡帛義式廚房

  Hey guys! Today I’m going to show you a restaurant that is a little bit expensive but definitely a good place to dine together with your friends. At first, I thought it was just a bakery, featuring cookies and vegetarian bread. But when I went to the other side of the shop I surprisingly discovered that there are also people eating and chatting there. Finally, I got a chance to have lunch there with my friends who came from Xinzhu. In fact, I felt guilty when I took a glance at the menu (cuz it’s about 200~400 for a meal). However, I could only take things when they come. By the way, the dishes are big portion and delicious as well. So let me introduce you some dishes I ordered.
 tomato soup: tastes great! The sour of tomato gives you a good appetite. The stuff inside mixed well with the soup.
 





蠔油香菇撈麵:
the noodles are chewy, with the special sauce. If you like a light flavor, just try it.
 Spaghetti with white sauce and mushroom:With the moist of the sauce, the spaghetti taste smooth. The size will absolutely feed you up.

 Fruit jelly: the dessert with the meal, you can taste the sour and sweet flavor in one bite, it matches well!

Week 5 so free pizza

  Tired of eating Pizza Hut, Domino’s Pizza? Well, check this pizza house called “so free pizza” near 溫州park which features in hand-made kiln baking pizza. The crusts here are thin and crispy, and you can taste the smell of the Logan wood since every single one is fresh-baked.What's more, the stuffing inside are fruit and vegetables. Although there only sells pizzas without meat, there always filled with crowds for a box of pizza in rush hours. So don’t forget to make a reservation for the flavor you want! You may be curious about the odd name of a few kinds of pizza. So here I want to suggest this simple but delicious flavor: smoked cheese pizza. But remember, odd names are not equal to odd flavors! Feel free to try a few pieces!


Smoked cheese pizza: the thick layer of cheese is composed of mozzarella and cheddar and the smoked cheese is scattered on it. The simplest kind is easy to taste the original flavor of crust, cheese and you can hardly find a word to describe it (maybe gorgeous?). Does it makes your mouth watering? Don’t feel guilty for eating lots of calories! Just try it.

Week 4 彩椒廚房vegetarian restaurant

Hey guys, you must be tired about the first three restaurants I recommended. Although those restaurants are reasonable and have a variety of dishes, there seems not to be that good when you want to award yourself or eat leisurely with your friends. Hence, this week I’m going to show you a special restaurant named “彩椒廚房”, the map is down below. There are many to choose on the menu, and the flavor of the dishes may let you get obsessed with. Today I would like to introduce two of the dishes that most impress me.

1. 
Forces pot(韓式部隊鍋)A kind of hot pot with kimchi(泡菜), rice cake, vegetables, cheese ... It will definitely change your thought of vegetarian. What’s more, it only costs $120 to taste it, get your stomach ready!
2. Bimbimbap(石鍋拌飯) Actually, there are different flavors of bimbimbap, but I think the toon cheese(香椿起司) is perfect. Can you imagine the sound of the stone bowl that provokes your appetite? You will give a thumbs-up when you taste the mixture of plenty of vegetables and sauce. Last but not the least, it is soothing to eat a bowl of hot fried vegetables at a low price ($95).

Week3 全國 vegetarian restaurant

Did you go to the presidential palace to see the military parade last weekend? Honestly, I wasn’t there. I was preparing for the chemistry mid-term exam, however, I still find a good restaurant for you. Most of you have eaten dinner at Lane 118, and there are many kinds of restaurants for you to choose. If you can’t make up your mind choosing the restaurant , try this “全國” restaurant . This restaurant’s is tidy and comfortable with many seats in it. During meal times, the restaurant is almost full, so let’s skip the class for lunch! You may ask “why people are so crazy about this restaurant “? Because the vegetables are very fresh (some of them are even organic) , and the dish is special , like kimchi(泡菜), braised stinky tofu (紅燒臭豆腐). You can try some new dishes and believe me, it will definitely change your thought about vegetarian. Does it cost a lot to have a meal? No, it only costs 80 dollars for a whole plate of food, if you are a student you can even have a free bowl of rice. What are you waiting for?
The following is some introduces about Water spinach (空心菜):
1)The spinach is abundant of native cellulose, it can stimulate your stomach and improve your digestive system.
2)It can reduce fatigue of your eyes because it is full of lutein(葉黃素).
3)It contains many nutrients that is vital for our body.

Week2 如來 vegetarian restaurant

Hey guys , how’s everything going ? Have you barbecued at the riverbank ? Would you like to eat more vegetables in one meal ? Try this restaurant “如來” at Lane 284, Section 3, Roosevelt Rd . This restaurant has about 30 dishes for you to choose from . The price depends on the weight you pick . Normally , a hundred bucks can feed yourself up . The reason why I choose this restaurant is because there are many kinds of vegetables like : spinach , asparagus , Chinese cabbage ….and the vegetables here is well-cooked . And don’t forget to try a piece of Turnip cake (蘿蔔糕) . The crisp texture and the aroma of radish will definitely impress you . By the way , the food here is a little bit greasy , so don’t pick too many bean products . Since the restaurant only supplies disposable utensils , I sincerely recommend that you bring your own chopsticks and spoon . Hope you will enjoy this restaurant I introduce this week . In the end , I’d like to share some healthy knowledge to you .

Week 1 食香園 vegetarian restaurant

    Hello guys ,this is my first time writing blog , and hope you will enjoy the food I recommend .
    Have you ever been to Student Active Center for a lunch or dinner ?Then you might have noticed that there is a vegetarian restaurant named”食香園” . You will find this restaurant just on your right hand side when you walk straight from the front door . This restaurant sets a meal with a bowl of rice and four dishes and only costs you fifty dollars .The quality of the dishes is as fantastic as the price of the meal . If you are lack of vegetables ,you can try eggpant ,loofah ,bok choy ,and sprouts . You will be impressed with their flavors and smooth taste .Also ,they supply some bean products such as dried tofu , bean curd sheet ,and the flavor is impressive as well . If you are hungry and you just don’t want to go far for a meal ,why not try this restaurant ? I swear you that you can both enjoy the meal and eat healthier .
    That is the first restaurant I ask you to go . Finally , I want to share a short paragraph of healthy knowledge I just learn form the internet .


       Add fruit to meals as part of main or side dishes or as dessert. The more colorful you make your plate, the more likely you are to get the vitamins, minerals, and fiber your body needs to be healthy.
